| Overview
One of the best ways to GET STARTED on your new custom home is to fill out the Get Started Form. It contains information and questions to help prepare you for your first consultation meeting with CWB's Builder/Designer (Scott). He will listen to your ideas, needs, and dreams. We will work towards acheiving your dream home while assisting you in staying within your budget.
As you endeavor to find the right Builder fit for you, keep in mind that this kind of relationship lasts far beyond the completion of your home. CWB takes pride in great lasting client relationships. When our clients call us in a year or so wanting a finished basement or a garage or an outside entertainment area, that is a testimonial of a satisfied client and a vote for our high quality workmanship.
In order to give your home the attention and quality we are known for, we place a limit on the number of custom homes we will accept at any given time. This results in the best quality and craftsmanship brought to you -- our valued Clients.
Consultation and Design Your initial consultation meeting is completely free of charge. When you are ready to continue to the design phase, our Design Agreement (Retainer) is completed. Our Designer will begin to develop your own personal professional custom home design including floor plans. We will also begin to clearly define costs through our cost analysis. CWB will document the 'Specifications' or detailed elements concerning your design. A meeting or two will help clarify details and then a full set of plans will be drawn which includes side elevations, foundation plan, floor plan, roof lines, and project specifications. A Home Construction Quote will accompany your home specifications.
Contract and Start of Construction Our contract will bring together the final details and scope of your custom home project. A deposit is required at the time of contract execution. This is a very exciting time as it marks the start to your beautiful new custom home. You can relax knowing that the Builder (Scott) will handle all of the work and details and will be working with you very closely throughout construction. CWB will work hand in hand with you as you make all of your selections.

Guide
Once CWB has begun construction of your dream home, it is important that we maintain clear communication about selections and expectations. Please consider the following:
- Post CWB phone numbers by your phone, in your car, and in your cell phone in case a question arises.
- Consider the logistics that are involved in ordering, delivering, and shipping materials. CWB is as eager as you are to finish your dream home as quickly as possible. Allow a margin for human error or a miscommunication.
- Workmanship: Expect the highest of industry standards of quality workmanship as indicated in your Contract Specifications.
- Jobsite: It is a jobsite and not your storage space. Clients' possessions are not permitted on the job site.
- Be Cool: Maintain understanding and let the professionals handle their craft.
- Try to stay out of the construction area. This is important for safety and for maintaining construction schedules. Keep pets and children out of the workers' way.
- Your Help: You can greatly help the construction process by cutting down on last minute decisions or changes by selecting your materials in advance.
- Swallow those endless "whys" that slow down production. Workers on your Home Site are simply following the Builder's orders and the project specifications. Discuss construction changes only with the Builder's authorized representative.
- Win cooperation from workers and the Builder with good, basic human relations. Nothing makes them work harder than a word of appreciation or an unexpected pot of coffee!
- Give CWB the benefit of the doubt. You chose us for a variety of reasons and one of those was honesty. Smaller sized companies know that they will essentially enjoy longevity in the business through satisfied customers.
